Sarah Platenius is a mixed-media artist based on the west coast of British Columbia. She works on wood panels, layering collected paper, hand-drawn marks, mediums, and acrylic paint to create textured surfaces that explore wilderness and contemporary culture. Her work draws on natural rhythms and ecological networks, reflecting how patterns in the landscape intersect with human perception and experience. Her works are framed by Joel Gray using reclaimed cedar, redwood, birch, and pine. Her artwork has been shown at the Tofino Gallery of Contemporary Art, Old School House Gallery, Pacific Rim Arts Society, Sooke Fine Art Show, Campbell River Art Gallery, and Federation Gallery.
